NAHCON CEO ADDRESSES 2023 JNI CENTRAL COUNCIL MEETING

MINNA, NIGER STATE – The Justice Legbo Kutigi International Conference Hall hosted the prestigious 2023 Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) Central Council Meeting, where the NAHCON Acting Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Malam Jalal Ahmad Arabi made a special address to the gathering on the  Commission’s activities for the 2024 Hajj. Eminent personalities from royal fathers and religious leaders graced the event that was held on Monday 11th November 2023. His Eminence, Sultan Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III and President General, JNI chaired the occasion. The gathering was privileged to have Professor Khalifah Dikwa of the University of Maiduguri as the Guest Speaker, whose insightful discourse added intellectual depth to the discussions.
 
On his part, Malam Arabi discussed new policies introduced by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in relation to deadline of visa issuance. He stressed on the global economic predicament and role of the Dollar as a determinant of Hajj computation. During the meeting, NAHCON Chairman appealed for the support of attendees in enhancing public enlightenment on the challenges faced by the Commission as well as the need to act fast. He expressed hope that with necessary support, the final Hajj fare would not exceed N4,500,000.
 
The central discussion was on security and infrastructural decays in Northern Nigeria with an emphasis on collaboration between religious, political, and traditional leaders to forge ahead.
 
Other participants at the event include, Hon. Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris Malagi, the Niger State Governor represented by his deputy; top Islamic Leaders, including Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau, Sheikh Kabiru Gombe, representatives of Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, Maulana Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, and other prominent religious leaders nationwide. There were crème of traditional Rulers, business, and political leaders.
 
The Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) is a foremost Islamic body in Nigeria, working towards the promotion of Islamic values and fostering national development.
